Oregon Coast Getaways: Charming Towns For Your Bucket List
Astoria
One of my favorite Oregon Coast getaways is Astoria, located at the mouth of the Columbia River.
What I love about this city is that it is partly a historic port city and partly an artsy town.
You will find cute Victorian houses on the hillsides with the Astoria Column rising above the town.
The downtown is filled with bookstores, breweries, and little antique shops that you can explore.
Best part? You can witness plenty of sea lions lounging along the docks as the ships pass by.
It is one of my favorite places for an Oregon Coast vacation, where you can immerse yourself in both history and art.

The town is also quite charming with cozy cafes, local art galleries, and boutique shops.
In my opinion, this place is perfect for couples, families who love the tidepools, and friends who want a laid-back vibe.

Apart from the beach, you can also explore the Devil’s Lake, go on hikes, and enjoy the arts scene of this town.
Overall, this is one of the top locations for an Oregon Coast getaway!

Depoe Bay
If you are looking for unique Oregon Coast getaways, then Depoe Bay is a great choice.
Known as the “Whale Watching Capital of the Oregon Coast”, this is one of the best places to spot gray whales from the shore.
The harbor is the world’s smallest, and you can watch boats slip in and out; the experience is quite magical.
Although the town is small, it is a great place for ocean lovers and anyone who is looking for some peace and solitude.
This is one of the best Oregon Coast romantic getaways to spend some alone, quality time with your partner.

Oregon Coast Vacation: Yachats
Another tiny yet stunning location to visit on the Oregon Coast is Yachats.
The coastline here is rocky and dramatic, with waves crashing against black basalt cliffs.
What I love about this place is that it is quieter than Newport or Lincoln City, and actually attracts tourists who want a slow vacation with rugged natural beauty.
That doesn’t mean you won’t find cozy cafes here, but there is a welcoming community vibe to enjoy here too.
This is a hidden gem on the Oregon Coast that often surprises people.

Oregon Coast Getaways: Florence
Florence is a lovely Oregon coast town that is located where the Siuslaw River meets the ocean.

You can also spend time at the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area, just outside the town.
Here, you can play at the rolling sand dunes, which is fun for the entire family.
Apart from that, I love the Sea Lion Caves here that provide a glimpse of these giant creatures in their natural habitat.
For a blend of small-town charm and outdoor adventure, Florence is the perfect choice!

Trips To Oregon: Bandon
I love Bandon, it is another one of those unique yet fabulous Oregon Coast getaways that you have to plan once!
